Somos® BioClear has been specially developed for use in medical applications, satisfying the requirements for non-implantable medical and dental applications with limited body contact (<24h). Somos® BioClear has passed the strict ISO 10993-5 Cytotoxicity, ISO 10993-10 Irritation & Sensitization and USP Class VI tests after following the cleaning procedure described in the Somos® BioClear user guide.

Parts made from Somos® BioClear are clear and have mechanical properties similar to those of ABS and a good combination of strength and hardness. The material is very resistant to moisture and many common solvents and chemicals.
